everyone is talking about hair oil, does it work? if so, how do you use it & where can you buy it?
I have never seen anything like that in any of the places i buy shampoo & stuff. Also, is there a certain name brand I should go for.
I've read about coconut, jojoba ???????? I'm lost! I bought a hot iron about a month or so ago,it works great but the problem is, now I can't stand the way my hair looks without it! When i use the iron, it's just the way i've always wanted it, without it, it's kinda frizzy or just puffy looking. It's healthy, but without the hot iron I can't control it. does this sound like something you would use the oil for??
thanks for any help..

There are a number of hair oil products available. Personally I use a cool trick I learned from my sister: olive oil! You can get a bottle cheaply from any grocery store. I put a little in my hair after washing and conditioning. Takes some experimentation to get the right amount, don't use too much!

Oils basically soften and smooth your hair, and do its best to eliminate frizzes and fly aways.

Here's MY experience:
Oils can soften your hair a bit, but as far as I am concerned
it does not *control* hair that well...especially thicker, more
stubborn hair.
*ConTROLLing[he..he]hair means MAKING YOU HAIRS WORK TOGETHER...
to do THAT (especially during the awkward stages) you need smoehting
that will literally make the hairs stick together, something like
a hair gel or similar product.
Also, when your hair moves together in the SAME direction you get
what is known as SHINE.
ODDly, even hair DRIPPING with oil will not shine UNless it moves in
the same direction. That is, MESS UP your hair and that SHINE disappears.
Anyway, that's what I have learned through this site and from
personal experience.
