Do all longhairs love themselves?

Hi there,
Just thought I'd fire the burning question, but I get the impression that most guys that grow their hair love themselves. I never used to love myself until I grew my hair long. Is this the same for everyone else here too?
Happy hairgrowing and thanks for supporting long hair.
Long Hair Forever!
hmmmm

I suppose we do. It takes some strength of character to have long hair these days, especially if you're young and in the growing stage. Because people at large still tend to "look down" or look with suspicion on longhairs, it forces me to be clear, direct, and empathetic when dealing with people. I guess you could say it's forced me to raise my intelligence slightly. With slightly increased confidence, I could definitely say that I like the Mark R of 2003 much more than I liked the Mark R of 1999, for example, and hair has definitely helped in that department. Growing my hair has helped me grow up.
I have read...

That males having long hair is often associated with narcissism. Although I don't like to admit it, when I think about this with regards to myself and other longhairs I have known, it IS sort of true... although moreso for those who try to make it look all nice rather than just all shaggy and hippy and as a result of not feeling like cutting it. (like Kurt Cobain-ish)

If you don't love yourself, you are not capable of loving another.
Hair length or gender has nothing to do with it.
Agreed (nt)

I love me - can't speak for anyone else ! For me it's more to do with having serenity and an 'inner peace' than with narcissism and arrogance (I hope). Having said that, someone came to our house recently and said they had never seen a place with so many mirrors in it. My wife made some lame excuse about it making the rooms look bigger but I think we both knew the truth !!
Tattoos do the same for me. It's the whole package. Great to hear that you love yourself now.
I feel a song coming on .... 'Learning to love yourself is the greeeeaaaatest luuurrrrv of all'
