This is what the back of my head looks like now after about 13 months of growing from about a 1 inch cut. It's a bit of a mess, but only because it's Sunday and I'm too lazy to go shower or brush my hair extensively really. Do you think it's growing alright? Should I cut/trim it? What do you all think?
If anyone's curious about my haircair regime, I use Pantene Pro-V Smooth & Sleek shampoo and conditioner everyday in combination with Herbal Essences leave-in conditioner, Beach Blonde hair oil, and the occasional bit of VO5 Sleek Hairdressing to keep frizz down. I brush using a synthetic bristle brush (it's all I could find) when my hair is dry, a cheap old knobby plastic brush when my hair's wet with conditioner and a wide-tooth plastic comb for maintenance combing during the day. I have uncontrollable frizz around the part at the top of my head! Do I brush too much or condition too much or what?
Thanks

Sounds like--and certainly looks like--you are doing the right things. Personally, I see no need to trim/cut. Keep it growing--it looks awesome!
I see no frizz?

And I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!!
Maybe it's because of the types of brushes you're using? I'd keep my eyes open for 100% boar's hair brushes. It may help.
Definitely don't trim. Your hair looks great!
