TLC: A Makeover Story Longhair Guy

Don't laugh, I was flipping around the TV and caught a glimpse of a long-haired, bushy-bearded guy sitting in a barber chair. That got my attention. The show turned out to be "A Makeover Story" on TLC. It featured a guy and girl (friends, not a couple). I missed the intro. They guy had shoulder length hair and a well-developed beard (just like I would wear mine if I could). I was curious to know what they would do to this guy (who didn't need any improvement IMHO). They trimmed the guy's big bushy beared into a sparse, boyish goatee. Then they chopped off his hair. In the process the guy said some things like "you just cut off two years growth" and "I went through all my awkward stages to have long hair and now it is all lying on the floor". I thought the awkward stage reference was interesting. In the end, they had his hair short on the sides, long on top, with dyed stripes, including blue in the front. Sure he looked great when they were done, but he looked great before they even started! Sheesh. They could have tied his hair back and it would have looked just as different. But these are haircutters, and that is what they do. (FWIW, they only trimmed the girl's hair but they lightened it and put it up, away from her face, and that was a big improvement). Frankly the guy got more mileage out of the new suit of clothes than the haircut. Did anyone else see this episode?
Makeover..think a guy's head a LAWN!

No, I did not see that episode, but saw another one almost like it.
Seems 'springtime' is a nice time to reall show this stuff.
I have nothing against this IF the guy no longer WANTS his hair long.
It happens and so be it...
but why not ALSO show how they feel the NEXT DAY? Maybe some will be happy
while others will be filled with feelings of regret...so be it, again.
The guy I saw had piercings and sort of a blond, wild-man hair style...
Well, by the time they finished with him, he had hair that was trimmed
right back to his head. . . . and the girls LOVED it! (maybe that audience was biased a bit).
Anyway, his wife loved it to. (She seemed to need a major make-over of her own, by the way).
O, well...all's well that ENDS well...
but DID IT???

Sorry, the hair is one thing but a "big bushy beard" is quite simply ugly.
agrees with Gollan *nt*
