hmmm...tips?? Well, you could have long combed back hair within a year (long enough to look good, not long enough to be considered a long hair) A long combed back look is kind of what im going for to be honest. (Until it gets even longer then that). Right now, my hair looks terrible ("looks" terrible, feels great) I use AG FastFood Leave in Conditioner, i try and go easy on gel too, so i slick it back less. we both have the same goals, but my hair is thick and a little more coarse then the average persons hair. what im getting at is, you either have hair thats "silky" or you don't. Keep growing is my best advice! As obvious as that is. Otherwise, I have zero tips. Maybe that why no one posted. Its hard to tell someone to grow long silky hair!! *points at Aerohaith* "YOU! Grow long silky hair!"

We're not sure what you're asking. No one can change the physical make up of the the hair God gave 'em (although some products and treatments come pretty close). Work with your individual hair and keep in mind any pictures in magazines or ads that you like that have a similar texture as yours and maybe shoot for that. Of course, the best is let you hair develop it's own look.
A few tips...

Always condition, never brush when wet, if your hair is on the wavy/curly side don't brush or comb when dry, deep condition once a month, use a leave-on conditioner, comb from the bottom to the top, use your fingers to loosen tangles before combing, use satin pillowcases if possible, shampoo the scalp/base of the hair (not all of it if you don't have to, shampoo the top, condition the rest), moisten your fingertips with oil and comb the bottom of your hair with your fingers .... that's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'd need your specific problems and hair type to tell you more.
