I Actually Cut My Hair!

I actually cut my hair today! And I'm proud of it! But no...not like ur thinking. I didn't CUT cut my hair. I just gave myself like a trim. I cut off the hairs on the side cuz they were so ugly. They're always frizzy and sticking out and they make my hair not look so good. I put them behind my ears but they still stick out
Well Today I got tired of looking at them and picked up the scissors and cut them. I was very scared I was gonna screw it up, but it's much better now. Now I can rub my fingers through my hair without the frizzies sticking out a mile to each side. They're gone! My hair has been laying down a lot better now.

I'm pleased that you feel happier with your hair. However, the sides will, of course, grow back and you will have to start a maintainance cycle to keep it looking the same. I did exactly the same thing as you the first time I had long hair and regretted it as the sides then took a lot longer to catch up and I then had to live through a further 'mullety' sub-phase of the awkward phase !
Sorry this sounds depressing but it's my experience ! Anyway, your hair and my hair are different and it maybe it's the look you want. Good luck !
Counter-productive comes to mind...

If you are planning to truly grow your hair long, you will have to endure that phase where the hair flips out of control over the ears. Cutting it back all the time will result in the retro-eighties style we here call the "Mullet!" I have to admit that I am very lucky that my hair behaves well over the ears through out the awkward growth phase, but with anyone who is wishing to have what I, and most others here, consider to be true long hair, they will have to endure the treacherous phases of growth to come out victorious on the other end of the awkward stage. The decision to endure or keep cutting is totally up you though. Good Luck and Peace, my friend!
