Hair through time

Does adolescence affect the type of hair you have? Can it change straight, soft hair into a curly or wavy coarse mess? This is what has happened to me, now that I am 20. When I was about 14 or 15, my hair was soft and straight. What is happening to me and is there anyway I can regain what I had once had? Im frustrated as all hell and I hate my hair intensely. Help me out PLEASE. Thanks guys.

When you`re younger, your hair tends to be softer. It loses quality as you grow older.
My mum always tells me that when I was a baby and a child (5-10yo) my hair was so soft. But now it`s not really the case.
Don`t hate your hair. Love it by keeping it well and by giving it treats such good conditioners, gentle treatment,..etc..

My hair was straight when I was a kid, but started to curl when I was eight or so, and now I'm 17 and it's very curly. But that wasn't adolescence, so I don't know.
