Growing quickly now!

My fringe is up to my nose now. It's annoting me because I wish I could put it back over my ears but it's just not long enough.
I'm getting support from my dad because he used to have long hair and he's been advising me. He's even gonna grow his again. We're gonna become a long haired household. His hair is really thick though and when his grows it grows outwards but when it's long it falls down.
My hair is quite fine but there's still alot of it. It's really straight aswell. I can't wait to have long hair!!

I'm thinking about getting a shampoo that thickens my hair but it might go fluffy. When I condition it it looks to flat on my head. Is conditioning really good for your hair?

When a particular problem (hair damaged in some way by abuse or neglect)is treated with the appropriate conditioner, it is good for your hair. Conditioners, however, remain the hair/beauty industry's biggest (and most lucrative) oversell. The most common and basic complaints can generally be corrected by a change of shampoo and/or haircare regimen/technique.

I respectfully disagree. While a change of shampoo or haircare technique or regimen can often benefit the condition of hair, I also consider a good conditioner to be essential to well-maintained long hair. The use of a conditioner can replace some of the oils and moisture that are stripped away with shampoo when you wash your hair, thus protecting hair from drying or otherwise damaging environmental conditions. It lubricates your hair to reduce tangling and ease combing, thus reducing damage, and it smooths the cuticle, increasing shine and reflectivity and further reducing tangling. My hair is very coarse, wavy, and abundant, so I need a heavy conditioner. Thin, fine, and/or straight hair may require only a light conditioner applied briefly and then rinsed our very thoroughly. I doubt you would find many women who do not use conditioner, yet many men seem to consider it a waste of time and money - I'm not sure why there is this difference in attitude. Just my $.02.
