Younger Guy Needs Advice

Hey I'm sixteen, been growing my hair for a good few months now (it wasn't exactly short back then but I've decided to grow it)
I think overall its looking okay, its just the back, the ends are very stragley and irregular and I'm being pressured by my family to have a "tidy up".
You can't really see the back from that pic but you might be able to make out how its a bit fuzzy. Any advice in general about styling.
Welcome...

First off, great hair you got going there. My advise to you is to just let it grow. The longer it gets, the more the weight of it will lay the scraggly hairs down and make them smoother. The back always looks that way in the stage your in no matter who you are. You have a very nice progress going and if you start cutting at it to try and straighten it up (my opinion is that it doesn't need straightened up),you will more than likely end up screwing it up and making it worse. Leave it alone. Tell your family your goals and that it will work itself out. My opinion about styling is to leave it like it is because the way it is now, in my opinion, suits you quiet well. Good Luck in your decision, bro! Peace!

I'll echo Treyn's comment. Leave it to grow for the moment. Only start to think about trimming when it gets to the length you want it to reach. And then be very careful who you let get close to it with a pair of scissors... ;-)

Great hair, you dont need to get a 'tidy up' at all, keep it growing and enjoy!

if you add a bit of gel to the ends of your hair while it is still damp...
and then curl it slightly with a comb or brush...
that's what I used to do and it looked much better & neater too!
Good Luck!

I don't see anything that would make me worry about it. Give it another year or two without any cuts and then take a look back at this picture: it will look 100% better with more length.
