New Formula for Aussie

Anyone notice the 'New Formula' Aussie shampoo... no more
sodium laura(eth) sulfate, now it's ammounium laura(eth)
sulfate as the first two ingredients.
Is this a -bad- thing?
(I saw it on the Mega shampoo, not sure of others).
Is this...'New Formula'...

It is definitely the MEGA stuff because I own it (and tried it),
and looking at Aussie web site to purchase online I was redirected
to drugstore.com (or something) and the product photo for MOIST
showed the 'New Formula' logo.
So, yes... it would appear Aussie has changed the main ingredient
from Sodium to Ammonium Lauryl (laureth? whatever).
I sense a black market for the original Aussie on this board :-)

for your info...sodium laurel/laureth sulfate is a detergent(sudsing agent). it is the same ingredient used in dish soap, and laundry soap. amoniun sulfate is a gentler version, kinder to the hair, and the environment. sodium sulfate strips the oils, along with everything else, out of the hair. using the amonium sulfate took me a while to get used to, but knowing that it's better for my hair, keeps me away from the detergent products. happy experimenting!
