hair straighners + gel..does it work?

admitly , i use hair straighner, but i 'd like to make it look wet, but i ain't sure if gel would work, because hair might get frizzy..

i'm from U.K..and would like to know any products that would work with my straighnered hair, meaning (wet(real wet) gel).
