A (Poor) Comparison

I came across a student card of mine from '99 and thought I'd try to share how terribly boring and low profile my appearance used to be. Mind you, I don't have a scanner, so I had to create a digital image of the card using a relatively cheap webcam (Thanks, Logitech; your Quickcam is oh-so amazing). I think the glossiness of the card only complicated matters, but nevertheless, this is an image as best as I can manage for the time being. If you have a quick and efficinet means of increasing photo size, you might actually get a semi-decent impression.
To compliment that pic, I've included a much more recent one. Mind you, I didn't start letting my hair grow out until Feb 2002, so please don't mistake it as continuous progress from the former pic (Regretably, I retained that soulless look for several more years). I've never been one to brag about personal vanity, but I can say with absolute confidence that my new look exudes a stark contrast of personality, whereas the former look was one of gutless plainness.
Incase the pics don't display properly, here are the links:

Are you sure you are the same person?! You look so amazingly different!
Yes, you definitely seem to have more character with the long hair...
whereas the photo from '99 makes you look like everybody else.
Thanks for sharing and...
Good Luck!

I'd have to say that your long hair was a major improvement! It compliments you very, very well.
