Down but not out

Hey all, Monday I finally had my appendix out, and so monday night when I was resting in the hospital this nurse guy came in to take my blood pressure and the like. He had hair as long as mine but braided. so I decided to say something, now keep in mind I just had surgery, and couldnt even get a good breath or move, so I had to make a few pauses when I said this, just before he was about to walk out:
hey, wait a second,
before you go,
nurseguy:yes
get a haircut.....hippie
he just started cracking up, i just smiled cuz I wasnt about to make the staples pop out. I was surprised I was still being a smarta$$ even in that condition.
on another note never watch anything funny when in this condition, I was watching the simpsons yesterday and when stan lee starts trying to cram the thing in the batmobile to the point he actually starts breaking the car, I started laughing, but each laugh I took hurt like hell, but I couldnt stop for a while, by the end I was sort of laughing screaming and crying at the same time.
Damn you Stan Lee!

No biggie, I had mine out in 99 and after a year the scar becomes almost invisible. In 2 weeks I was driving again and in 3 weeks playing soccer almost normally. Anyway, get better... and yes, I thinks its damn funny

Yeah, I got staples, too. I'd never heard of them until my surgery (I only knew about stitches) but then again I was in 7th grade. I got the fiber optics, so I have 3 small scars. The doc said they would disappear in about a year but only 2 of them did. One's right on the bottom of my navel, and one's about 2 inches below that. Those you have to look for to see but the third one is about 3 inches up and 2 inches to the right of my navel and its plainly visible. What is it with me and rambling...
Peace.
