Okay I've been messing around with my hair now that I'm a few days shy of 11 months growing. Well today I decided I would try something I never have before. I think it's called a half-ponytail. I'm eager to tie my hair back buy I don't think I'm ready. I guess I'm asking if this hair style looks okay. The pics..
I think the back pic looks pretty good really. But I'm curious as to what you guys think? Thanks!

I like it. Just be careful not to get too religious about it. I used to work with a gauy who had great stick straight midback hair who do something like that, parted with a very straight line and gelled the top. I thought it looked really silly. Yours looks good because it looks natural.

Looks fine to me, but then again, I am the most aesthetically uncertain individual that I know. I'm glad you asked about doing one's hair like that, as I am but a few months ahead of you, and when it comes to tying up my hair, I can't manage much better than you could. The only reason why I haven't gone through with it is because I find that its too easy from the hair from the side of my face to go astray and make its way into my face.

Hey! Looks great for only 11 months. :-) Ever try a lower tail instead just to see what happens? I am currently doing that until I can finally get the whole act together. Is working quite well in my case. Again, it looks great! Good luck and thank you for sharing the photos with all of us.

I wear my hair like that quite often, although my hair is also quite longer than that.
It looks fine at that length though, go for it.

Welcome to the prime time, bud. I was wearing my hair like that when it was still your length. The moment I realized I could tie a half pony tail, I knew I was golden. It's just been getting longer ever since. Looks like you've got just a few more inches to go before it starts draping your shoulders. It's easily sailing from there.
After that, the only question you'll have to ask yourself is how long you want to grow it. hehehe

I think that it looks very nice, and probably pretty comfortable as well. This is from a woman's perspective. I agree with the previous post about keeping it simple. Don't attempt to make it look too "done".

It looks cool on you man. In fact, it looks better with midlong hair like yours. On my hair, it seems to be heavy on my head.
It is definitely a cool look which I myself do as well, but it takes time to get it done properly. Sometimes, I do use gel-mousse to hold the hair.

I've tried that with my hair as well. My hair is an inch or two longer than yours and I too am very close to an okay looking tail. There was one guy who posted progres pics on here a few weeks ago that mastered this look. I don't know who he was, but i remember him being reviewed as a "nerdy looking kid who is now a pretty decent looking long haired guy". he had been growing out for a few years. He had one picture like this and it was really awsome. Anyone know who I am talking about?

I've been wearing my hair like that also. Got quite a few negitave comments, but I dont care because its a lot more comfortable than having hair in your eyes all the time. To stay on the original topic, yes, I think it does suit you.
