Hi there Tryen,
I sent a picture of your Vulcan to a friend of mine some time ago, as he's into the old harleys and like i thought he'd like this one. :) even i as a sportsbike fan was nearly converted myself :¬)
Anyway he is now looking for a new bike and has asked me if i could find out exactly what the make and model is of your bike.
I've done a quick search on the net with little result, found a few vulcans but not anything like the beast you've got.
Cheers,
Grale :¬)

Hey, man, no problem on the name spelling and thanks for the compliments on my bike. It's a 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan 750. Cost $6,300.00 dollars out the door (title, liscence, taxes, bike shop owners upcoming vacation fund, etc. LOL!) I can hardley see a Harley Davidson rider converting to Kawasaki though. Mine is shaft driven instead of chain. I have heard mostly good things about shaft driven, but one guy said he wouldn't have shaft driven because it's too jerkey on gear changing. I kinda seen what he meant after he told me that also, but that's alright, I love riding it. Hope this helps your friend. If you want to read the whole specifics on my bike go here - http://longhair.kicks-ass.net/vulcan_pic.html and read all the way down the page below the picture of me and the bike. Hope this helps, bro! Peace!

Thank's Treyn, Haha yea he's a harley fan but he's not a die hard fanatic, and he just fell in love when he saw the vulcan, and as a past Kawasaki owner i know he won't be breaking down every 5 mins...!!! ;-)
Thank's again man for info..
If he does get one we are going to look a very odd combination out riding.!!

Cool bike, man. I've never riden a sport bike before. They seem kinda uncomfortable to me the way you have to lay forward on them, but hey, there are a lot of guys around here who ride 'em. Do they call them crotch rockets where you live? Peace!

Lol, yea if you have any back problems then this is NOT the bike for you.!! crotch rockets lol, never heard that one before :¬)
Here they call those who ride sports bikes Organ Donars... the country lanes in england are dotted with flowers where bikers have killed themselves, i just enjoy riding bikes, and blatting around the countryside at 160mph isn't on my weekend list.... at 33 i have self preservation at the top of my list.
Keep it fun and safe friend :¬)

: but one guy said he wouldn't have shaft driven because it's too jerkey on gear changing.
I've owned and ridden all sorts. I would never go back to a chain - it's messy and needs constant attention. The advantage is better power delivery - i.e. it doesn't absorb so much, so more gets to the back wheel. This is academic for most of us, though. People tell me BMWs have jerky gear changes. They clearly haven't ridden any modern ones ;-)
