Hair vitamins...

Has anyone here ever used any of these so called miracle hair vites?(like Hair Formula 37, the hair energizer vites from healthyhairplus.com, drugstore brands, etc, etc!)
And if so, any comments? My hair seems to be "stuck".. it has stayed about the same length for over a year... and I am wondering if I should just accept the length it's at, or spend a few bucks and get a nifty vitamin that might close that 2" gap between my hair and my waist...
Suggestions?
(for the record... I don't perm, bleach, colour, or blow dry my hair... nor do I use hairsprays, gels, mousses, etc etc... I wash, condition, and comb and let it dry...)
Thanks in advance :)

You say your hair is a couple of inches from your waist. It could be that you have reached your geneticly predetermined terminal length. Everyone has a terminal length, but it varies from person to person. If this is the case, then vitamins will not help it get any longer, but they will aid in keeping your hair and you healthier. Maybe... maybe not. Go HERE and scroll down till you come to "The Life Span Of Hair" section if you want more info on this subject. I suggest reading the whole page though. Very educational reading on hair. Hope this helps. Peace!

my sisters stopped growing for almost a year. She just took the standard vitamins (multi and a bit of biotin i think) and just recently its growing like mad cakes again! We both thought she was at terminal length (really thick hair about lower back.) but she is growing again. Also she trimmed her ends to neaten them up, but i don't know if that was before or after her hair started to grow. Don't lose hope. It'll get going again! :)

Well, the simple explanation is... your terminal length is defined at XX inches, by birth. This depends obviously on how fast it grows, if you don't grow at least 6 inches per year, in that case its hair hair will reach your waist.
Now... and supplement opposers don't start bragging!
You also have in your genes, the lifespan of your hair. For soe 3 years, for others up to 6. However, growth rate and lifespan are independent. No matter how fast its growing... it will continue to grow for 6 years. If you have half the growth rate you CAN achieve with supplements (again, your own genes). You will have half the terminal length.
Summarizing... if you are a candidate for supplements, YOU ARE a candidate to see your terminal length incresed.
