To Cut or NOt to!

Hi friends, I'm 18 yrs old. I've been growing my hair for 2 yrs now..
Sadly I had to spend my last 5 months in hospital. I couldn't take care of my hair, to be frank - Water never touched my hair in 5 months.. Now it's all messed up. All sorts of hair problems! - looks awful!!. Do i should CUT IT and start again!! IF i cut it Will it take long time to grow back?

if your hair is THAT bad, first try a deep conditioning treatment.Ive never done one, but its worth trying. Also, if that fails, see about "neatening it up" , losing only as much length as is necessary to make it look decent. Post a pic, maybe its all just in your head? And yes, depending on how much you cut off, it will take awhile to grow back. Just start taking care of your hair again, and maybe these problems will be less noticeable in one or 2 weeks. Also, glad to see your out of the hospital!!! I hate the recycled air we have in ours...makes me cough.

What sorts of problems are you referring to? What could happen to hair if its left to grow for 5 months that a through washing could not take care of?!? Is it irreversably tangled?

Try your best to tidy it up and I think that you will succeed. If not, have it cut as little as necessary.
