I´m finally using a seperate shampoo and conditioner now.
What I want to know is how are your hair wash habits? How often do you shampoo per week and how often do you condition?

Gotta wash it everyday. Conditioner (on my hair at least) makes it look "greasy" or not very manageable. Usually work days are good ones to use it. I travel alot and depending upon the hardness of the water and other factors my hair does get dryed out and conditioner is necessary. Funny thing is excessive swimming in chlorine pools seems to negate the need for conditioner (it kind of strips out all the gunk.) Key here is depending upon the need, I use conditioner otherwise just shampoo (pantene.)

* I usually shampoo every morning.(Jheri Redding Shine shampoo but
Aussie Moist shampoo is also great).
* This is always followed by a conditioner. (I'm currently using
Jheri Redding Mega-Vitamin conditioner, but Aussie Moist conditioner
is very good, too ).
*Next I gently press & squeeze my hair with a bath towel getting
most of the moisture out.
Then I let my hair fall on my thin cotton robe while I am busy
doing other things.
* I then work some L'Oreal MELTing Gel throughout ALL of my hair.
This stuff is VERY SLICK--not sticky.
*(I may follow this by working adding a bit of FRIZZ OUT by Jheri Redding...
This gel is used more sparingly. It contain collagen and adds a bit
of smoothing texture to the hair to control flyaways.
* Then I comb/style and tail my hair. (I usually have to add a hair pin
on each side of my head (toward the back) to carry & hold some of the weight
of the hairs that do not quite reach the tail itself.
* To control 'trouble' areas, I may use L'Oreal Liquid SPRAY gel
to tame those nasty flyaways.
* Re-Tailing a couple times of time is usually necessary.
THINGS THAT DRIVE ME CRAZY: When a nice LONG section of hair gets loose
and falls right into my face!!!

I agree. What's the sense in shampooing your hair EVERY morning (unless you spend each of your days getting dirty or sweating intensely)?

Well, I've actually got it down to 15-minutes if I rush...
Once you get a 'system' you can do quite quickly!

Well but as a longhair it takes a while til the hair is dry. If you are about shoulder length your hair is wet for hours.

I wash my hair once a week, generally on saturday, with Loreal Curl Vive shampoo.
I rinse and condition with Loreal Intense Smoothing conditioner every shower, which I'm estimating at an everage of 15 times per week.

I don't have much of a system down really. I've only really gotten myself into a routine this week, so I might as well just say what I've been doing for the past few days. I condition with Pantene Pro-V daily, except for weekends, when I shampoo and condition with Inner Science brand shampoo and conditioner. Good stuff, the conditioner is very thick and nourishing. Too heavy for daily use though, but it manages to get rid of most of the negative effects of the shampoo. I work weekends too, so my hair is usually absolute Hell by the time I finish my 8-hour shifts.

Pantene products are the most agressive and unhealthy for your hair I've ever used. Do yourself a favor and stop using that shit...

I always shampoo and condition every two to three days. Two days usually, because a three-day gap gets my hair REALLY oily. I always condition after washing, no matter what. Once I'm out of the shower, I squeeze water out of my hair with a towel, and "towel-dry" just a little bit if necessary. Then I swipe a comb through it once. After it dries just a little bit, I spray some Frizz-Ease on liberally, comb it in, and then wait for it to air-dry, combing as needed. Once it's about 75% dry, I blowdry it the rest of the way. If I don't use both the conditioner and the frizz control spray, then I don't blowdry. I use Matrix "Biolage" shampoo and conditioner. It's expensive, but it's better than all of the other stuff on the market (Aussie, Suave, Herbal Essences, Infusium, etc. seeing as I've tried them all extensively).

I shampoo every other day. When I shampoo, I use no more shampoo than the amount of a half-dollar in size (unless I've been working in the garage alot and am filthy). From there, I condition. I usually leave conditioner in for about 5 minutes or so and work it through with a multi-lengthed tooth comb I've got that I keep in the shower. It helps to evenly distribute the conditioner to all parts of the hair and remove any clumps. After my few minutes of standing there staring at the shower walls is over, I'll rinse it out thoroughly (and very thoroughly), and then comb it through one more time to remove the last few hairs that may've fallen out during showering.
