I was watching LOTR: The Two Towers on Video-CD the other day, and one thought came to my mind... how much damn money did they have to spend on hair extensions for that movie?!

That was a great movie. They also had cool hair, especially Arigorn.
I'm so out of the loop.

There were a series of books written by a gentleman named J.R. Tolkien (I think that's how it's spelled) that take place in the mythical world of Middle Earth. He wrote several (The Hobbit, The Lord of the Ring trilogy, The Silmarillion) and the Lord of the Ring trilogy has been made into a series of movies. The first two, The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers, have already been released, and the third installment, The Return of the King, will come out next December.
Because the setting is a medieval world, with swords and sorcery, most of the male characters have long hair. Whether or not the hair is real for the purposes of movie-making, I think the various long hair styles featured are great looking and actually inspiring. The first two movies are of course out on video and dvd. I recommend you check them out, or perhaps even read the books.
OOOOhhh

Those are the books my uncle reads, and insists I must also read.
He just went out last night and bought two books. One has three books in one, and the other is The Hobbit.
I'm too into a couple Stephen King series' to start on something else. I'm reading Black House right now, and I'll be reading the third (or is it the fourth?) book of The Gunslinger series after that.

J.R.R. Tolkien actually. Not that I care, but a real Tolkien fan will kill anyone who forgets that second R.

Read the books first or you'll have no idea what the heck is going on. But if you wanna see it just for the longhairs, go right ahead...no shame in that ^_^

I don't know how many of them wore extensions, and how much of that was wigged. I read somewhere that Orlando Bloom was wigged (he mentioned something about them having to shave is hairline back for the wig, and he was sitting next to Liv Tyler, on whom he had a crush, and she suggested he should shave the sides too so he did.)
