Colored hairpins with 'hair lines'?

Someone mentioned colored hair pins to match hair color...
and that they were also textured with 'lines' to be nearly invisible.
WHAT is the brand name for these pins so I can look them up?
These with be great for those struggling through the awkward phases!
Thanx

Basically any store will carry hair pins that are close to hair color...if you have dark hair that is. I don't rightly remember what color your hair is, but if it's lighter, it's a little trickier. Try a cosmetic supply store. If they are put in correctly, they will be nearly invisible anyway.

I have tried using hairpins, but it becomes very obvious that I have tied my hair using hairpins because they shine. Also the way my hair appears after I put the hairpins is a give-away. Any suggestions or alternatives? I like to use them because my hair is not long enough to tie into a pony, but long enough to get uncomfortable when I am working out, or when it hot. I do not like to use bandanas, otherwise that would have been a good alternative.

I don't know where you are in the country, but I am on the West Coast. Either "Bi Mart" or "Fred Meyer" had or has them. I will check to see if they are still available and let you know. I have long since lost the "Brand-Name" of these............but I have them! A really great idea! And they came-in VERY HANDY! (Still do.)
