Look at Redleader, Red Rocker (the redheads), and everyone else's hair here:

There are other people who seem to have borderline red hair, but these two are definately redheads (as seen in their names, even).
I would NOT use the word "gay" on this board in that context, as it bugs EVERYONE, regardless of their gender or sexuality. See what disaster arose from such language here:

Let me clear this up...
I don't have red hair. My hair is a medium brown color. However, I understand why one may label me a redhead. The photos that I have taken in the past have been with cheap disposable cameras. Taking these photos indoors and then scanning them with my low-quality scanner often results in poor quality photos. For some reason, this all leads to my hair looking reddish and my skin looking even more white. You can see this in my pics on Sherri's page. However, this picture may show the natural color of my hair a little better 8-21-03
The good news is that yesterday I ordered a digital camera and it should be arriving in a day or two. It is a Minolta Dimage G500. This should result in better, more frequent progress pics.

Why do people (even for a moment) think hair length or even style has anything to do with your sexual orientation?
Are these people confusing Homosexuality with Femininity? Do they just live sheltered lives which are constantly instilled with prejudice or are they just too dumb to figure it out?
OK for those who are a little slow and get confused by this little difference, I'll try an explain it in simple terms:
- Gay men tend not to be into femitity for the simple reason that they like men! They like men because they are masculin. If they liked things that were feminine that would make them straight.

I think that would just mean that the particular gay man was interested in a man who projects a more feminine or effeminate vibe. I think your post is based on drastic generalizations. Just like some guys like big breasts, feet, long hair, or whatever, that doesn't speak for every straight man.
This is tied in a bit with my post above on the age perception issue, but the projection of hetero- or homosexuality, IMHO, is more closely-linked with the way one carries oneself; they way you move, the way you dress, the vibe you put forth.
I personally have been mistaken for a gay man on three occasions: twice when I had short hair and was overweight. In each case, I was less outgoing and self-confident than I am today. I like to think (perhaps deludedly so) that I present a more virile, sexual energy than I did a year ago.
Okay, I'm done rambling. Stop generalizing about what you think gay men want. You wouldn't want them telling you what you should be looking for in a woman, would you?

Dan
I'm just using a generalisation to make a semi-humorous point - I dont pretend to know what every Gay man wants in a guy or what every guy wants in a girl. But I've lost count of the number of times I've heard comments like:
"Long hair is Gay" or "You'll look Gay with Long Hair"
It gets on my nerves especially when people are using homophobic arguement to force people to conform, More so when what they really mean is - "Long Hair is for Girls" or "You'll look like a girl with long hair" - These arguements although equally as flawed are more understandable as they are based on stereotypes rather than homophobic prejudice.
Also I personally think there's a distinct different between been guys who are effeminate and being feminine... I can only speak for myself, but I'm only attracted to feminity hence I percieve a difference.
I know I painted a very black and white picture in my post and I know its not that clear cut, but it does go a long way to making the notion seem stupid, that's all I intended.
