Weird dream...

Hi guys...
Damn, I only just this minute realised that I have had the same dream for 2 nights in a row. Well, its not EXACTLY the same - I don't think. Different stuff happens, but theres one part of it that is.
My hair is... short! But umm, like in the first dream, I wanted to have a TINY hair cut. I think maybe to get the back sorted out perhaps? Then when I saw the results, it was like... short hair. Litterally short hair.
As you would imagine, I was freaking out, and thats all I can remember from the first dream. The second dream (last night) was pretty much a continuation of the first. I can't remember anything specific. Just alot of 'omg's' and freaking out.
Both times, I woke all 'wtf omgomgomg' and checking my hair to make sure its all still there...
Just thought I'd share. Wouldn't have posted this if the dream was just a one off.
:)

I remember having something like that a while back too. For whatever reason my hair was cut off in the dream. I woke up and started tugging on my hair to reasure myself. It was a little weird, but it only happened once.

I have that dream about once a month. What happens is I realize that I have short hair, yet don't remember cutting it. I'll be freaking out and thinking things like All those months for nothing? In my dream, I will begin playing with my short hair. I will start pulling on it (usually in the front) and it will feel longer than it looks in the mirror. I will pull one strand out all the way (which I am guessing I am doing to my body in real life) and I will think how the stylist must have missed this one long strand. Then I will begin to discover more and more are still long...and that triggers me to wake up and breathe a sigh of relief.
Man, do I have that dream.

Pretty sure I've had a couple of similar dreams as well. About 1,5 years ago I spoke to a guy online, who had long hair and was important to him. Then one day a couple of his friends decided it was "funny" to shave of a "line" on top of the head while he was asleep... Of course he then had to shave it all of not to look crazy...
That story has given me a couple of nightmares ;)
I also remember a part from the "On Being A Longhair" about movie theatres I read over a year ago. Caused some paranoid thoughts when watching a movie a couple of weeks ago ;)

A few nights ago I had a dream about my hair, only I realized it was short and a darker color of brown in my dream. The odd thing was, I think I enjoyed it in my dream. Is this a bad sign, I wonder?

Same here. I also have an equivalent dream that I've been drinking and thrown away 4 years' sobriety. Must be a fear thing. Great when I wake up and I'm still hairy and sober !

My hair, ATM, is half a foot long.
In one of my dreams, I wake up one morning with a painful, red sore on my forehead in the middle of the front edge of my hairline. I bring my hand to the sore, and find that the hair that was on top of this sore had grown considerably. While the rest of my hair could only reach my eyes at the time, this small amount of hair was able to touch my mouth when I pulled it down to see its length. Also, that hair was soft, and faded in color.
For some reason, everyone thought it looked great, but I thought it looked horrible; and the sore hurt a whole lot (tell me you can't feel pain in dreams?). I then pulled my hair down again: This time, it touched the bottom of my chin. The sore was nearly blood red. I became quite worried, and tried to find out what was happening. Was this a cancer or injury of some sort? After about ten minutes, I pulled down that bit of hair again: This time, it was very soft, and nearly gray. It was able to touch my clavicle. The sore gave a burning, almost boiling feeling--
Finally, I woke up. I sat up in my bed, not knowing what to think. I was 100% sure that everything that had happened in the dream was real, and grabbed at the front of my hair, worried. Oddest thing is, I was very surprised to find that my hair was barely able to touch the tip of my nose. Everything in the entire dream felt real...

LOL Therapists would have a field day with us... I bet there is a named "Condition" for this type of dream and everything.
Funny isn't it how nightmares always seem to attack our greatest fears... weird how its no longer the bogey man that scares us its now HAIRCUTS!!!!!
I'm willing to bet that most parents on this board who are raising young children will tell you that their nightmare involves something terrible happending to their kids... (Bad dreams almost always invoke one or more of your greatest fears.)
