Group question

If this question's been asked a million times already and you guys are sick of answering, just ignore this message hehe. But I haven't seen it asked before. Just wondering what kind of shampoo and conditioner you guys all use? I'm trying Infusium 23 right now and it hasn't seemed to improve the condition of my hair, so I'll likely try something else next time. Oh, I have a second question too. Are there any volumizing products that actually WORK? My hair's in good condition but I'd like just a little more bulk to it. It's very flat and limp. Thanks in advance.

The Aussie "Moist" line is outstanding, especially the conditioner. I think they have a volumizer brand too. Good luck!

I use Tresseme's Ultra Hydrating shampoo and conditioner. Does a number for tangles. Don't know about volumizing shampoos, I don't really have a need for that! ;)

I use matrix biolage and it seems to work well for me. Absalom

I use Physique Deep Hydrating Conditioner and Shampoo. In my opinion, it is better than both Aussie and Loreal Smoothe Intense. This, however, only goes for my hair. Great Investment.

My hair was starting to thin out so I started shampooing with castile soap. It contains lye and I'm using it on the very unscientific theory that the lye dissolves dihydrotestosterone, the baldness hormone. Now my hair no longer seems to be thinning. As a rinse I use a splash of vinegar in a pint of water to neutralize the pH.

I use Matrix "Sleek Look" products bought at most salons. Here in Denver my front porch alititude is 6,000 ft, it's always very dry, so I have learned that salon products work best for me. Many of the lines sold in grocery stores contain wax and other build-up enhancers.
For volumizing, I'd suggest you walk into any quality salon and just ask somebody. I do it all the time and keep my wallet in the car--no one's ever asked to be paid for their advice and it's mostly always worth the effort...and for a variety of questions too. The professionals also know the low-down on "grocery store" hair products--what works best, what isn't worth the money.

I'm still on Supermarket Brands, but I find Clairol Herbal Essenses pretty good. I struggle to find their conditioners in stores so I usually opt for Pantene ProV which seems to do a lot for tangles, which are the cause of a lot of breakage and damage. Mostly cos people dont have time or dont bother to detangle gently. So I dunno if it actually fortifies hair, but it kinda removes one of my major problems so I'm OK with it.
To give your hair more volume I'd suggest drying your by turning your head upside down and gently rubbing it with a towel until its 80% dry. Then still with your head upside down, brush your hair towards the floor. (This should help stop your hair from hugging your scalp and looking limb) Finally brush your hair backwards and dont style until its almost dry. Makesure your brush with a deep wide-tooth comb, its more difficult to get volume with a small comb.
Hope thats useful, it works for me.
