When did you "arrive"?

This is a question to all members of the board. I'm curious as to when you knew you had "Arrived" as a longhair.
For instance, did you just wake up one day and look in the mirror to find your hair was long? Did someone make a comment to make you realize your length? Did one day you feel a slight brushing down your back?
Please share. :-)

Hey, Brian, probably December '01. That's when everything was pulled back into a nice 'tail that went from the crown of the head all the way down to the bottom of my neck. It's also when I felt that I finally looked *right*. How about you?

I myself haven't arrived yet, but I think I will arrive when it all falls comfertably on the shoulders and gathers into a ponytail (about the length of Redleader's).

I realized that I arrived one day when a gentle breeze blew my hair under my chin. It felt really cool. It's funny how each time you hit a milestone it's arrival is noted by something like this. My next milestone was marked by the fact that whenever I sat in my car or an office chair, I could feel my hair between my body and the seat and would have to pull my hair around to the front of my shoulders so I wouldn't press against it. Recently I was lying on my left side when I felt my hair tickling my left arm from around the right side of my neck. I smiled and thought to myself, "damn my hair is long!" It was great!!! I'm looking forward to the next one...possibly a tickling sensation on the back of the arm close to the elbow!
cy'all later,
Brett

There seem to be several times over the past 2 1/2 years:
When I could tie my hair back and it would stay in a tail for the day.
When my hair would get caught between by back and the chair I was sitting in.
When I could reach my hair behind my back.
When I was past my "goal" length and realized that I still wanted my hair to grow.
During this time, a few people asked questions like "Are you growing your hair out?"
When did you realize this?

For me it was when a little girl standing behind me at the bank said 'Why is that man wearing a bobble in his hair?
Her mother said. 'Because he's got long hair'.
What was interesting was the girl's response: 'Is he allowed?'

Still making the journey. Although, I remember when I previously grew my hair out that I "arrived" when I was able to get my hair into a full tail.
