hey everyone. I was just curious, will putting gel in your hair eveyday slow hair growth progress. I put gel in my hair just to keep it a little neater for school.
Any amswers?

Gel has no effect on the growth of your hair as long as you wash it out periodicly. I would imagine that if someone were to keep putting gel in the hair, but never wash it out, it could possibly build up to the point where it could clog the hair root areas and cause problems, but I couldn't imagine anyone actually doing this. My advise is to avoid using gels with alcohol in them because this dries out the hair, depriving it of moisture, and the hair can become brittle and break. Hope I have helped in some way. Peace!

no it will not slow the growth process. hair usually grows 1/2 inch a month. certain medications or health problems can slow growth down.
just eat healthy and exercise and it should grow at a normal rate.
