Trying Something New

I've decided to experiment with wearing my hair down sans any chemicals post-washing. I normally spray some spritz some styling gel in it, but am going to see how well it behaves with nothing in it.
To start, I'd like to share with you what my hair looks like right now. Yesterday morning, I washed and conditioned it, and then spritzed it with styling gel after towel drying. This is what my hair looks like after a night's sleep, and I haven't washed my hair, yet. The link will take you to my photo album at MSN.com. Look in the Pictures folder labeled "Something New". The first two pics are what I just shot.

Wow, my hair actually feels better without anything in it. It feels lighter, and incredibly soft - almost feather-like. I took it for a 'road test' and drove down to the local convenience store, to see how well it does in the open air, and it actually faired really well. I'm going to continue this for a month and see how things go. I'm already enjoying it. Hell, I may even start wearing it down more often! LOL!
Four more pics are now online.

I don't own a convertable. I drive a 1990 Dodge Spirit. Going outdoors simply offers a better opportunity to really gauge how well hair behaves when exposed to the elements (i.e. wind - hehe).

looks great man! i must admit, those pictures are great inspiration to me, as i am still struggling with the awkward stage. it's been approx. 6 months since my last hair cut (which was pretty much your standard short haired cut). right now, if i just let my hair go with out any gel or whatnot, it's a mess... i don't like having to use those products, etc. i'm scared of damaging my hair.. but i actually did get compliments on my hair today from my mom! that has never happened, so i am definately encouraged to keep at it!

Glad I can help.

It's a bitch, ain' it?

Not possible if you're using something as basic as styling gel, which is all I ever put in my hair after shampooing and conditioning. When I was in my awkward stage, I used to soak my hair with a ridiculously wet brush, brush all of my hair straight back, and then load it with hair spray. I might as well have been wearing a head full of plastic, my hair was so stiff. I wore it that way until my awkward stage ended. Friends kept calling me "Helmt Head", but it helped me tough it out.
LOL!

Excellent! Good luck!

hope its a 2.5 turbo es spirit!
if its a v6 thats ok, but if it was an r/t with the turbo III motor, that would be wicked.
I love mid / late 80's early 90's fwd turbo chryslers, if you don't remeber some of my earlier posts.
hair looks great!

Sorry, it's a v6 (grin). Bought it from my bro for $200. The transmission in my 94 Ford Temp went to crap on me, and the cost to have it repaired was going to be more than the car's blue book value. I wasn't having any luck finding a new used car online, so my bro sold me his. I need to get the transmission mount on it fixed, asap, though. That, and a new heater coil would be nice.
hehe
: hair looks great!
Thanks!

If you ever have any problems, get in touch with me, I know alot about these cars, and have a buddy that knows alot about the V-6 motor.
It's a pretty good motor, do you have the A-670 3-speed or the A-604 4-speed overdrive?
Tempo huh? Kinda generic.
