Split-ender, got it, tried it...

As promised, here is my experience with my new split-ender. I received it this monday, but haven't had a chance to post my experience with it until now.
First of, I was litterally terrified during the whole process, man it was scary! Second, it's not even close to as easy to use as they made it seem in the advertisment. Using the split-ender itself isn't really that hard. But I have always been pretty bad at sectioning my hair, even though I think I have been getting a lot better at it lately. But sectioning the hair, and getting just the right sections, so not to run the same section more than once, between the "heads" is HARD. The gap between the heads are quite small, so placing the right amount of hairs between them, especially from behind sure isn't easy.
For the results, I didn't really notice any major change, a little softer at some parts maybe, and perhaps a little less frizz. But that is so little that I don't really think it counts, and I might just have been imagining it...
As mentioned it was really hard the first time, so I think I need to try it one or two more times before actually making up my mind about it. Even though it did cut some hairs, it wasn't even close to the ammount seen on TV. I think I might have used too large or thick sections which caused a lot of hairs not to be cut. The consruction is pretty simple when looking at it, and I think it will work a lot better if I use smaller sections (which means an even harder time using it). Even though it did not cut close to the amount of hairs shown on TV (might just be that I don't have many split-ends or damaged tips...) it did cut quite a few. Some really tiny ones and a few ones close to a whole cm!
I am considering to try it again in just a week or so, and then not use it more than once per about 2 months at most. But seeing those little ends are not fun, even though they where not a lot... But on the positive side, I did not notice any reduction in length...
Guess I can always let you know if I notice anything the next time (then I will have my hair straightened, and see if it will make things easier...), but until then, I am sorry I didn't really notice any difference...
Second try...

Alright made a second try, this time I was really careful with the sectioning, took me forever but I used really small sections and think I got all hair. Still I notice no difference, hopefully I'll notice a little less tangling when windy, but doubt it...
I didn't straighten the hair as I first intended, guess I'll do that the next time, in a few months...
Would be nice to know if anyone else who used it actually have noticed any difference? The possibility is of course that my hair is in good shape already, and can't get much better from trimming... But one would think trimming more decrease tangling, so I don't know...
On the bright side, it seems the company that shipped the product "forgot"? to charge my credit card... LOL. So unless they contact me it seems I got it for free... ;)
ditto

I purchased a Split-Ender earlier this afternoon. Tried it tonight. And pretty much received the same results as Patrik.
While a few ends were snipped, I can still grab a handful of my hair and see split ends here and there all over the surface. I considered that perhaps I put too much hair on the hair plate too, but when I put any less than I did, the hair pretty much just slips, no falls, through the Split-Ender's brush and upon re-examination of the hair, there's still split ends here and there.
I didn't dare attempt the same section of hair more than three times as each time, it does seem to snip another 1/8 of an inch off the end of the hair, healthy or not.
I'll probably go to a salon next week to be sure the bottom of my hair is even (has been about three months since my last trim), then wait a month and try the Split-Ender one more time. If I still see split ends here and there after perfecting what seems to be the right amount of hair to put through the "brush" while pulling the hair through, it's history. ^,^ I'll just be sure to get my hair trimmed regularly like I should, and keep it conditioned.
