1. What is, for you, the best length for men?
For long hair- I like shoulder length to mid-back
2. What style(s) do you like best?
all one length
3. What style(s) do you dislike?
mullets, layers (sorry, just my opinion)
4. Have you any preference for curly/straight hair or any particular colo(u)r?
Doesn't matter the color. I prefer straight, but have seen some really nice long haired guys with curly hair, when it is curly, it looks better either very short or very long
5. Any other comments?
I like long hair that is healthy and shiney looking. If it is fried and damaged and thin on the ends, then it just doesn't do anything for me. When I see a guy with long shiney hair, I can't take my eyes off of him. :)
I like to come to this board to see the pics and when I first started coming here, I was amazed that men actually talked about their hair like this and showed so much concern for their hair. I am sad to read about all the posts that men have to deal with discrimination about their hair and growing it long. I live in the Bible Beltway (NC, USA), and any guy around here that tries to grow their hair out gets discriminated against bigtime. It is quite sad. But I always encourage them or stand up for them :)

Thats indeed very sad the discrimination :-( but those men who can go through this and don't care about what others say, have my greatest respect, people have to be independent to do what they most like and not letting other people change them.
I'm from Germany and here are more men with long hair, it seems to be cool having it, at least I don't know of any discrimination.
"But I always encourage them or stand up for them"
Thats GREAT!!

: So, assuming that you are here because you like long hair on men:
Correction: ADORE long hair on men! LOL
: 1. What is, for you, the best length for men?
longer than shoulder length. I don't consider it truly long until it's past the shoulder.
: 2. What style(s) do you like best?
down and free. I do understand the need for ponies, because I use them myself as needed, but love it to hang loose. Any style is fine with me, as long as it's long!
: 3. What style(s) do you dislike?
When it's long, no style strikes me as bad.
: 4. Have you any preference for curly/straight hair or any particular colo(u)r?
Not really. I do seem to prefer straight/wavy though. With curly hair, you can't run your fingers through it without messing it up. hehehe
: 5. Any other comments?
I've been trying to figure out why it's taken me so many years to discover my preference for men with long hair.
I can't remember many long haired men while I was going to school, besides rock stars.
But, with the exception of the first guy I went out with, they all had hair at least shoulder length. I never realised that I was choosing guys with longer hair, or that I preferred long hair.

In response to question:
#1: From Just past the shoulders to mid back.
#2: Style preference is all one length but have a male friend that is growing out a choppy shag (think Bon Jovi or Johnny from the Goo Goo Dolls style) and his hair is awesome!
#3: I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than see (or God forbid, date) a man with a mullet or worst of all, a skullet, ie: balding on top and long in the back.
#4: Have a preference for slightly thick straight hair. Curls (perms, not natural curls) are okay and I especially find them useful for men (and women) with thin hair because it adds body but with thick hair AND curls? Frizz city if not cared for properly. I would go on record as saying that I have long, (about 3 inches above waist) thick naturally curly hair that requires daily maintainence. As far as hair color goes, I used to "only" look at blondes but boyyyy am I glad I decided to expand my horizons! My (live-in) boyfriend (currently) has a medium brown color with (fading) blonde highlights. Before this he had it colored a very deep dark brown. Both are equally incredible on him. By the way his hair is about 4 inches from his waist, about 1 inch shorter than mine. He's getting a haircut on Wednesday though, so I expect him to loose about an inch off the length then.
#5: To All the well meaning Men attempting to grow your hair out...Those of us (women) that love long hair, reallllllly love CLEAN, GROOMED, CARED FOR HAIR! If you're not willing to invest the time and energy to care for your hair, you might as well cut it off and look like the rest of the boring men around town.
Lastly, thanks for asking these questions, it was fun answering. :)

1 - i'd say shoulder length with it slightly in the progressive stage.
2 - i think anything is great, even in the akward stage. mostly what i find appealing is when the front hairs fall just below the eyes. oh so sexy. ;)
3 - anything mullet-ish
4 - oh man, bone straight all the way. and jet black, or platinum blonde. :)
5 - these are just my preferences not saying theyre right or wrong or that i dont have props for other styles/colors. ;)

A recent beautiful new discovery; unfortunately I find it difficult finding men with long hair. They're a rare species.
: 1. What is, for you, the best length for men?
Beneath the shoulder and also down to their waist.
: 2. What style(s) do you like best?
Either down and free or in a ponytail. A man with shoulder length hair looks oh-so-sexy with his hair in a ponytail and a man with very long hair looks divine with his hair flowing free.
: 3. What style(s) do you dislike?
Not applicable.
: 4. Have you any preference for curly/straight hair or any particular colo(u)r?
Every person has their own preference. I love sleek straight hair that is blonde to very blonde.
: 5. Any other comments?
I think it takes a man with a free independent spirit and strong sense of self to wear his hair long in a conformist society.

: So, assuming that you are here because you like long hair on men:
Oh, hell yes.
: 1. What is, for you, the best length for men?
Shoulder to mid-back length.
: 2. What style(s) do you like best?
Ponytail, braid, loose (all one length), queue
: 3. What style(s) do you dislike?
Mullets!
: 4. Have you any preference for curly/straight hair or any particular colo(u)r?
Straight to somewhat wavy dark brown to black hair.
: 5. Any other comments?
A long haired man is one who bucks the expected societal expectations for men's hair and thinks for himself. This indicates that he can probably "color outside the lines" and "think outside of the box" in other areas as well, which, to me, is a highly positive trait.
I also find it quite telling that nearly all the men on the covers of romance novels are long haired men. Seems that the publishers of romance novels know what women like!
straight huh..

All my female friends love long hair on men too, there are more as you might think who prefer it.

I actually think curls look wonderful! It's just a matter of preference...to the person who loves to play with and touch long hair, and the fact that curls kinda hinder that...hehehe

: 1. What is, for you, the best length for men? Past shoulders.
: 2. What style(s) do you like best? I love it loose down the back, but a neat ponytail or braid is intriguing, I find myself wondering what it looks like loose.
: 3. What style(s) do you dislike? Sorry to say I am not fond of mullets.
: 4. Have you any preference for curly/straight hair or any particular colo(u)r? Dark, shiny curls are sexiest, in my opinion! (but variety is the spice of life, I love just about all textures and colors of long hair!)
: 5. Any other comments? I love the "free-spirited" attitude that long hair on a man implies. Also, guys, I agree that if you are going to wear your hair long, you must take the time to care properly for it and keep it in good condition to look your best.
Mullet's are definitely OUT!!!!

: 1. What is, for you, the best length for men? Shoulder-length to mid-back.
: 2. What style(s) do you like best? All one length; I like most ways of wearing hair like ponytails, braids, etc.
: 3. What style(s) do you dislike? Mullets, undercuts, weird colors.
: 4. Have you any preference for curly/straight hair or any particular colo(u)r? I like all kinds. I have long curly hair, and know how hard it is to deal with sometimes, so I definitely admire a man who's willing to put up with that! "Weird Al" Yankovic has good hair. I also like straight hair and everything in between. No color preference, as long as it's something found in nature.
: 5. Any other comments? It makes me sad when guys cut their hair.

I will gladly answer your questions:
1. What is, for you, the best length for men?
I personally like shoulder length to mid back most.
2. What style(s) do you like best?
3. What style(s) do you dislike?
There is no long haired style I particular dislike even not the mullet...I think I dislike any short hair LOL especially when it on top longer and the back very short.
4. Have you any preference for curly/straight hair or any particular colo(u)r?
I like straight blonde hair most.
5. Any other comments?
That men look definitely more handsome with longer hair (any lenght longer than short) I always find myself being more fascinated by men with longer hair...
