trying new Shampoo

I have been on the hunt for a shampoo that is very pure and free from chemicals and I think I have found one. It is called Sweet Orange Shampoo by Life In The Woods (www.lifeinthewoods.ca). Here is the ingredient list: Distilled Water, Saponified Oils of certified organic Extra Virgin Olive, Certified organic Coconut and Certified Organic Almond; Certified Organic Essential Oil of Sweet Orange. That's it! You are probably thinking how this can clean the hair with all those oils in it...but believe it or not, it feels almost squeaky clean afterwards. They do not appear to have a companion conditioner, so I have been using DRUIDE Ecological tangle-free conditioner (www.druide.ca). I tested both these products for pH levels and both are at 5.5..which is the approximate pH level of human hair. The major difference is that this shampoo gives the hair a slightly 'heavy' feel to it, without actually making it flat and oily looking. People were commenting on the shine that my hair had after using it! I will keep you updated as to how the hair looks after repeated use! (I only shampoo twice a week at the most.) just thought I would let you know what is out there. cheers!

Looks like the Druide products can be bought on line, but the Life in the Woods products seem to be only be available in Canada.
The "heavy" feel of the Druide shampoo might be an advantage to those with thin, curly fizz.
Thanks for sharing.

Sounds interesting, doubt either of them will ship to where I live though.
Incidentaly I've started using Clairol Herbal Essences & Fruit Fussions shampoos & conditioners. They seem pretty good to my hair, leaving it light, shiney and mangeable. Only been going a couple of weeks though so I'm not sure if their effectiveness will deminish after a period of time. The normal, result is you end up having to use these products daily to get continuous effect. (Sells more bottles I guess...)
