what is the difference between the types of long hair for people like ashton kutcher, who seems to have a very messy style, compared to like johnny depp whos hair falls behind his head in a neat way
does it have to do with combing or the way it it cut
thank you

part of it has to do with the way it is cut (for instance, ashton kutcher's hair is shorter than johnny depp's, as well, it looks like kutcher has his hair razor-cut [this means cut with a razor instead of scissors, and gives a more modern look to the cut, with different edges than scissored cuts]) and part of it has to do with how it is styled (in most pictures, kutcher looks like he's got, at the very least, volumizing mousse in his hair before having it blown dry, and then running pomade through to separate and define chunks of hair, although the same look can be achieved by just letting your hair air dry ... whereas depp looks like his hair has just been blown dry)
also, of course, depp's hair is generally longer than kutcher's is.

Actually, the differences come from all directions: how your hair grows and its type being especially important. (All genetic.) Then there is whatever your routine is on washing your hair and the products (or no products) you are using. How you arrive at letting your hair dry. (The way a certain person cuts your hair can result in the spectrum going in any direction depending on how good they are at their craft.) There is just so much that enters into all of this. Now, lets say you want your hair to look just like Johnny Depp. Then facial construction comes into play somewhat and the shape of your head would have to be as is his and the hair type the same to get this "exact" look.
