Treyn here. I am posting current pics for TommyTurbo at his request. The back side pic combo I opted to do myself. The first half of that pic is a pic he sent to me sometime late March, 1st of April, 2003. The second half is his current progress almost a year later. Awesome progress, at that! Let 'em know what you think, ya'll! Peace!

This is 3 years now, with a trim about 1 month ago.
Only trimmed a little bit, like a 1/2 inch. Not the best
pics, but just really quick.

Well, to everyone, thanks for the compliments. Everyone wants to know my goal, has been to grow it back as long as it was a few years ago. I had it down to my butt, and then I cut it, not by choice, a big mistake I have learned from. So I am hopeing as long as before, maybe a tad more. But I don't think I want to try to care for it when it gets any longer than that.
Before when it was very long, I caught it in the car door, you know get in and shut the door, but some was still in between and when I'd move it would suprise me, and hurt. Sometimes the window was open it would try to blow out. The worst is driving with the t-tops out, cause it causes wind disruption in the car and blows everywere. So for that I have found ponytailing it, and stuffing it under my knit hat works well for keeping it in control. Then I can enjoy open driving. Sleeping can get difficult too, sometimes you turn over on it, and I am parinoid in public someone will put gum it or something.
But for all the trouble, it is soo much better than when it is short.
Oh and as for bowing down to me, don't need to do that , cause I am no hair god, I still find people with hair far supior to mine often enough, and then I bow to them!
Handily, gum is removable.

Hello Tommy,
Enjoy your beautiful hair confidently out in public; I am sure you have many fans eager to see it. If gum is a concern know that it can be removed without scissors if you use something oily to work it out. Peanut butter works well as do cooking oils and all are harmless to the hair.

Another thing that works really good for getting gum out is ice. It freezes the gum and then you can just crumble it off.
I forgot that one!

I had forgotten that worked like a charm last time I had an errant piece of gum, fortunately on the car seat and not my hair. Thanks Reflective! Ice is probably easier to get in any situation than peanut butter anyway. Even a cold soda can might do the trick.
Tommy, carry drink money and your gum worries should be reduced. :-)

Lighter fluid dissolves gum instantly and evaporates. I've had to get gum out of carpet but never hair!
If you had hair to your butt then you are a hair god to me and I want to worship you ;-) I could never get mine that long in 1,000 years.
Lighter fluid? =====:-O

I am squirming at the thought of lighter fluid and hair together, yikes. Apart from the flammability, I have no idea how hair reacts to that. For my tastes I'd rather cut out a hank of hair than mess with the danger of losing more than hair to an accidental combustion.

Having had both, I find friendship is so much more rewarding than worship. So my friend, have you given it at least six years for a good chance at tailbone length? Depending on how important length is to you dreadlocks might be something you explore as they are not impeded by maxium length limits.
Elizabeth, for whom classic length was years ago

Tommy T,
Amazing! Really nice looking hair.
Do you have pictures of your hair from three years ago when you started regrowing it? How short was it? Can you have Treyn post a picture?
You also mentioned that you use to have even longer hair before you cut it. How about some posts of that hair versus the current?

I don't have too many, I didn't like being photographed then, I was not happy about how I looked. When I was in the sixth grade, which was in the very late 80's I cut it all off, after years of rather short normal boys haircuts my dad insisted on. Totally shaved bald, it was ok, I spent alot of time i the pool then, so that was easy. Then I decided to just let it start growing, and by highschool I was well past the shaggy stages and had past my shoulders long hair. By the end of high school it was really long and by the end of college, it was to my butt. When I started working, I made the mistake of cutting it, long story, to maybe a few inches long at the longest. I hated my self for doing it, NEVER GIVE IN TO EMPLOYERS ABOUT HAIR! NEVER!
: You also mentioned that you use to have even longer hair before you cut it. How about some posts of that hair versus the current?
I can't find too many pics, I'll look for some. I had one cool one from college, where I was hanging upside down from some monkey bars, and had a friend take some pics, looked so cool.
