leave in conditioner - styling product?

Sorry if this questions been asked before (I looked in the archives), but when leave in conditioner (or normal conditioner for that matter when not rinsed out) is applied to hair, does it act like a sort of light gel or mousse, as in allowing for the styling thats possible with wet hair?

It depends mainly on whether or not it's mousse or liquid (spray in) leave-in conditioner. I assume you're talking about the mousse.
In a sense it can act like like a get by conditioning those frizzy hairs to behave a bit more. A liquid one is good for that cos you can spritz the top of your head then pat the fine hairs down.
I used to style my hair (which is incredibly frizzy) using a spray bottle of conditioner instead of regular water - but my hair is amasingly dry and fine (not good).
I wouldn't leave conditioner in that hasn't been designed to do so though! That can cause all kinds of flakyness and hair damage and it will attract dirt like noones business. You know that crusty hard white crud you can get on the lid of your conditioner bottle? Do you really want that on your hair like that? It promotes breakage too - BIG nono.
Hope that helps some. :)
thanks for the advice! - n/t

Does leave-in conditioner have to be washed out each day? For instance, would I have to wash my hair on each day that I use the leave-in conditioner?
Thanks...

Don't think so. I didn't have to do it with mine. If it's designed to be left in it should be fine. :)
