Aussie Shampoo and Conditioner

Hi everyone, yesterday I purchased Aussie Mega Shampoo and Aussie Mega Conditioner, and apart from the nice smell, I really feel my hair feels worse, than before.
I used to shampoo my hair with Garnier Fructis, which has amino acids and is made out of fruit concentrate, and condition my hair with VO5 Sheer vitality, then lightly towell dry my hair and leave it to dry naturally and I'd notice my hair would feel silky and smooth even the day after, but using Aussie Mega Shampoo and Aussie Conditioner really dries my hair out, and i notice my hair tangles up quite a bit, even after using conditioner. I didnt have these problems before, can anyone recommend an alternative or what i'm doing wrong? My hair is roughly 4 inches long.

I'm having the same problem, although I like using the Mega Shampoo since it leaves little residue behind. I find that the Aussie Mega Conditioner and Aussie 3 minute miracle actually dries out my hair. I haven't tried Aussie Moist or Slip conditioner.
Right now, I'm alternating between Aussie Mega Shampoo and Fructis shampoo. I'm in the market for a good conditioner and leave-in conditioner. I'll let you know if I find something. Let me know what you find too.

I, too, had the same experience when using Aussie Shampoo and Conditioner...after the shampoo my hair felt very dry and brittle...I tried cutting down the amount of shampoo with no improvement. I finally just started using my mild bar soap to shampoo my hair followed with a generous amount of Aussie Conditioner. I think the results were better but not great. I shampoo and condition my hair twice a week. I like the natural feel of hair after not shampooing for several days. I haven't found any shampoo and conditioner combination that works for me...hopefully I will someday. The advice at this site has been helpful.

I have been using the Aussie mega shampoo and conditioner for a long time. I have to shampoo my hair almost every day because of it being so oily. I haven't had the problems you speak of. My hair is about 14 inches long and tangles really badly unless I use the condtioner. I have women commenting me al the time on the shine of my hair. Maybe your hair doesn't respond well to the Aussie. I know I tried Panteen one time and had a lot of problems with tangling and dullness. Keep looking and you'll find something your hair likes.

I also noticed the same thing, and if your hair is any bit as is mine, you probably notice that by the 2nd day the hair becomes much better. So, my "new" routine is as follows:
Shampoo only once a week........and don't double the shampoo as the directions always say. No conditioner needed (at least in my case, but my hair tends to be on the oily side.) and hardly any tangles at 11+ inches now. Doing it this way lets the natural "oil" stay in the hair. Really, no sweat. At 4" you might feel the need to shampoo more often as dirt can reach your scalp easier. How about just using water on some of the days? The natural oils are the best secret of all. Guess we all have to "experiment" a bit until we get to know our hair really well. But if anything like myself, the longer your hair grows the easier it is. Of the "Awkward Stage?" If you can just "invent something" and go with the flow instead of fret about it, you can actually make it rather fun. A "new-look" almost every day! Good Luck.

You are doing fine, keep trying different products until you find ones that work for you. Not all work for everyone the same.
Personally I don't like Aussie Mega but I love Aussie Moist, you might try that one.
