Recommended straightening iron?

Hello all,
I was wondering if any of you can recommend a straightening iron of a particular brand or model. I went to the store today to look for one, and I couldn't decide what to get. All of them were packaged into sealed plastic packages which make it hard or impossible to return if opened. So if I were to buy one, I want to make sure I get one that is good.
Anyone of any suggestions?
Thanks...

hey man:)
go to www.hair-straighteners.com
the best and safest ones to use are ceramic straighteners, DO NOT use the old metal plate cheap ones unless u want to fry your hair!

Yes, I know from personal experience switching from a cheap metal plate straigtener to the chi turbo. There is a world of difference between the two, and I would say that the chi turbo is well worth the high cost.

I bought one, I'm using it at 4". seems to help make my hair flow more easily. although i can see that's it would be more effective if my hair where longer.
