Neck Hair Revisited - New Pictures!
Posted by Gollan on February 23, 2004 at 16:06:58: Previous Next
Thanks to everyone for the great feedback on my February progress pictures. In response to all the feedback about my scraggly neck hair I cleaned up my neck and took a new series of pictures. I posted them in a 2nd bonus picture page along with before & after side-by-side comparisons. I can't link directly to the bonus page but you can find a link to it under "February 2004 Extra Bonus Pictures" below my pictures in the Feburary 2004 Progress
Pictures section of my website. This website update also includes a number of technical fixes
for serious problems that occured when my website was being viewed with the Netscape browser. Full details are in the "technical" page of my website under "revision history".

A+ MUCH better and cleaner looking.
Many people with gray or blond neck hairs
can probably 'get away' with it, but
it gets much trickier when your hair is darker.
Of course, trimming or shaving neck hairs is sort of an art,
and one could get carried away! So CAUTION is the rule when trimming
in that area!
Anyway, IMO, it's better!

i agree with everyone else here...it looks a lot better this way...congrats again on a great head of hair.
hey, by-the-way, have you ever experimented wearing the ponytail just a little higher instead completely at the base of your hairline? i've seen a lot of guys wear it maybe an inch higher and it tends to look really nice.
just a thought....

Yahoo for you...looks awesome

I was so hoping you wouldn't get offended by my suggestion. I think you look a lot nicer. You hair is great anyway and I love the cuff. I'm just old fashioned when it comes to cleaning up the kitchen sink (old time hair term, not that I'm old). I've spent over half of my life grooming others. Still enjoying it after all these years. Ok, I'm rambling.
Keep up the great growth.
cheers.

Nice hair, man. it really looks better when you cleaned it up, it looks nicer too.
just a quick question, how did you clean up those stray hairs on your back neck? did you go to a hairstylist and had that person clean it up?
keep up the great hair.

You know, a normal person would go to a stylist but one of the reasons I stopped getting my hair cut is that after nine years in the army I've already sat in a barber's chair more often than most people do in a couple of lifetimes. What I did was put my hair into a high ponytail, lathered up the back of my neck, and used a single-blade disposable razor while looking into two opposing mirrors. The only real difficulty I had is that I can't see well enough to get close to the hairline so I left a bit of "fringe".

I'd think this would be a good time to just ask a family member to do the shaving for you. It seems so tough for you and it would be so easy for them. If you live alone, a close friend could do it; it's something that needs to be done seldom and takes very little time.

Hey, just make sure you don't get carried away. I shaved the hair on the back of my neck and severely messed up my hairline. Be careful!
