Hair product recommendation

I have knee-length, thick, straight, black hair that I always wear in braids. I haven't used any styling products in over a decade, but I have an upcoming job interview and need something that will enable my hair to survive the three hour fight to the interview.
As for hair care, I shampoo only my scalp, then condition with Pantene Pro-V. While conditioning, I comb my hair with a wide-toothed comb. I rinse, get out of the shower, comb my hair with a finer comb, then braid my hair while it’s wet.
As the day progresses, wisps of hair start to escape the braids. I’m looking for a product that would prevent these wisps from happening, but I don’t want that sleek, oily look. I have an oily scalp, so I’d like a product that isn’t too heavy.

Try a laminate to take down the frizzies. That may be enough but you might also try leave-in conditioner. Your hair may feel "heavier" but if you have it braided anyway then it really won't matter. Also try hair spray in those problem areas to get through the interview. I've tried gel for spots that won't stay put but found that it doesn't hold well enough for me.

I'd reccomend doing what he said, only perhapes you could loop the braid over its self to prevent it rubbing against the seat back

Hello RZG,
It is the nature of braids to go shaggy over time so you might consider resetting the clock. I have always found water goes a long way toward neatening a braid early on. You could comb out, dampen your hair, and then braid it again when you get off the plane if your schedule permits. Knowing your hair does not need to stay perfect in flight will likely let you relax more on the way, a handy thing before interviewing.

If you comb some gel all through your hair while it's wet, that will help control any frizzies that try to develop along the braid. This works for me until I sleep with the braid in.
