Hey y'all,
Just wanted to let you guys know about an experiment I tried with my hair. I had read alot about other members going a week without washing their hair. I had tried this before but after a couple of days my hair would get really oily and my scalp would get irritated and scaley. To combat that, I bought a bottle of Nizoral and one application cured the flakes. Now I was able to go without washing and try to get the natural oils to permeate my hair, especially the ends. In my updated gallery I posted 3 pics that show my hair after a week without washing. It still looked oily but my head never itched and I had no flaking. I did this every week for about a month and I think it's paid off. This is the happiest I've been with my hair. I was coming very close to cutting about 6 inchess off and starting over again. For shampoo I used Razzammatazz Moisture Loc, which you can get online. I DID NOT use conditioner, can you believe that? I used a detangling comb and a blow dryer on the cool setting to dry my hair. My plan is to keep this regimen up and hopefully it will stay consistent.
Sorry for rambling...just thought that there might be others with similar hair problems.
Gallery is updated...click the link below.
Thanx,
Brett

I think you are treating your hair just the way it likes
and needs to be treated.
Your amazing technicolor ponytail holder is a GREAT idea!
Sort of tells the world you are enjoying your hair...which
is the way it SHOULD be!
Congratulations, and thanx
for sharing your pics!!!

Glad you hit on the "something" that works for you. Whew! Would have been a shame to have cut that hair. Looks great!!!!!!!!!!
I think everyone has to find their "own thing" that works with what they have to work with. Me? 1 Week wash with water and let "air dry." Next week Shampoo and conditioner..........again letting the air dry.
It is so hard to argue with success. Hey............isn't Long Hair Great! :-)
