My hair is getting straighter!

Hi everyone, it will be almost 3 and a half months since i started to grow my hair, I have wavy hair. But I did something to it which I haven't done before. After taking a bath, I had used up all the hot water in the boiler, but I had just used miracle moist and Mega conditioner (aussie) and the conditioner was still in my hair and I had to wait with it in for about 15 minutes before the kettle boiled to rinse my hair. The next day, when I woke up, I had hardly any problems with my hair, and also, it seems all of a sudden, most of my hair has gone relatively straight. It's been 48 hours since last wash and it feels great!. Dunno how long this will last for. Is it due to the weight of my hair stopping it from curling so much??. Also, just thought I mention, I've found that if I push my hair out on the sides so that it sticks out a bit, it looks really cool IMO (I think it looks better than normal in that position, and considering I'm in the awkward stage)
Any comments/suggestions welcome as always:)
Have a good day!

I can only speak for myself.........(and that knowledge coming from another that contributes to this Hyperboard quite often who has super Long Hair.)
When using Conditioner, I have found that instead of 2 minutes, 5 minutes makes a big difference to the better. Please remember however, I am only talking of how it works with myself.

I actually TRY to drench my hair monthly in extra virgin olive oil for at least 2 hours. The longer you leave an oil/conditioner in your hair the better.
I choose extra virgin olive oil because it basically does the exact same thing the expensive "intensive oil treatments" do, but much more inexpensive. Plus, it's right in my kitchen.
My hair shimmers like gold for at least a week afterward!
I drench my hair and wrap a hand towel around my neck-line to soak up any dripping oil. Pin the length of my hair to my head with a butterfly clip (although anything that clips your hair up from touching your body is fine). I put on a shower cap, go about my housely duties, and hope no one decides to come over for the day. LOL
I leave it on as long as possible, 4 hours being my max. I then rinse well, shampoo and condition as normal.
You really can see the difference in your hair afterward. I highly recommend it.

Wow! I will give that a try, thanks for the tip.
What will be next, dip your hair in chip fat! (joking, I wouldn't recommend that:))
I really appreciate the tip, thanks!

Dude (surfer-),
I try not to use overly-hot water to rinse my hair, and after applying Re: reposted to correct typo In Reply to: Re: My hair is getting straighter! posted by Oversurf on March 13, 2004 at 16:26:48:

but I have noticed that cooler water rinse results in
softer hair.

Oops... let me try that again;
I try not to use overly-hot water to rinse my hair, and after applying
conditioner (2-3 mins), I rinse with cool water. I already have
straight hair but I have noticed that cooler water rinse results in
softer hair. Certainly doesn't curl my hair or anything.
