Technically a half-tail... but its still a "high" tail. I probably should have a picture taken at more of an angle too, but life isn't perfect.

In my case, I hike a lot in a sunny state, so I get a lot of sun effects on my hair. My half tail would be a mixture of gray and light brown. Meanwhile, the hair underneath is nearly black, because the sun never hits it. The few times I've tied a half tail, it looked like wearing brown shoes and black socks together - there's this light brownish tail lying over a black mane underneath. NOT the look I want. Guess the half tail style just isn't for outdoorsy types. :-)

Actually I quite like the look. In fact a lot of people think I have highlights done at a salon.

Yeah, it looks great on you! The color difference is just enough to highlight the half tail, and the hues are similar. VERY nice. With me the hue difference goes way too far though, and it presents a quite dischordant mismatch. Think "major clash"! :-)

*grin* - I'm sure its not that bad... Last summer I saw loads of Women sporting this "peroxide top"/ "Jet Black bottom" look - now that was where Contrast turned into Clash!

A fashion trend sadly too common in Finland also. I just hate the misuse of hair colouring. Sure, with hair down that can look interesting but with a ponytail... Stupid.

I kind of like the high tail look for me (but with all the hair). Wonder how it looks with other people.
