Are you going to follow the two week rule? This is a sensible way to think about this - ie Before you touch one hair you make sure you have gone two weeks without having doubsts about it.
Two weeks thinking is not long if you really want to cut but 2 years growing again if you make a mistake is.

Hmmm, i've had a little change of heart over the day and don't think it would be a wise idea to get it cut.
Yes, i have considered going to a salon and getting it styled, and i'm sure it would be quite a good idea as my hair is a reasonable length at the mo, but it just means cutting it, and they might cut ALOT off (thats my main concern).
I'm not sure if they could even get rid of the curlying at my neck either, which is really the main annyance of growing my hair out - I really hate it!
I think a salon is the only way, to get it shaped and look a little neater, but it just means more growing time...which might be not needed... I'll think about it a bit more.

I know the feeling! if you go to a decent one and explain your growing your hair and jus want it shaped/tidied up a bit and tell what you dont like about it im sure they'll not wreak it on you!
For the curling at the neck - if you've tried everything and this is holding you back you could try straightening irons untill its grown out more. If you use them correctly and use a good cond and protien protectant it shouldnt really be damaging - some woman do it everyday on all their hair!
Glad to hear your keeping it....if you'd have chopped it off and regretted it you'd be mortified.

Exhibit one: Prime example of why the two week rule was created.

How long have you been growing your hair? Long hair is not for everybody but it is wise to follow the "two week rule" before making any drastic changes.

So please thing all the matter over with cutting your hair. You must resist, otherwise you will loose the battle

I agree with the guys, and I'm glad you've reconsidered over the course of the day. But if your hair is still bugging you then before you cut it all off, try a trim to tidy things up, particularly if you've been growing a while, you'll have plenty of length to play with.
I think if you go to a decent salon, speak to a stylist maybe go for a consultation first (where no hair gets cut) then once your happy that the stylist understands your goals, go in and get it trimmed
If you explain yourself clearly and you make the stylist aware of your goals, they will normally be very supportive, and I bet you'll loose just 1/2 an inch. And then it'll only be to shape things up.

Well, about the two week rule, i've already considered it for more than 2 weeks:p
Anyway, just thought i'd let you know that i've just had a cut and re-shape to my hair at a salon (best salon where i live - it's got a good reputation anyway) so that it can 'grow out' in a 'style' and i'm, very happy with the results. Now i can be happy with it and let it grow out. The stylist added texture to it too which looks good, and it lies a little flatter to the head which is great.
I guess a maintenence cut isn't always a bad thing!

Before you do anything read on this board about the "two week"
rule. There are plenty of reasons why the wise people on this
board came up with that rule.
