Is conditioner bad?

Hey guys,
I use conditioner in my hair when I shower and of course wash it out. But here's the catch. Is it bad to put conditioner in your hair and leave it in for the day? I mean in the morning before I go to work, I use conditioner like a gel or a mousse to style my hair. It's less sticky and makes my hair manageable. Is this bad? I mean I get the best results according to my scalp when I don't put anything in my hair. I've now come to learn that when I use gel in my hair it makes my scalp REALLY itchy and dry which eventually leads to flakes. How do I avoid dry itchy scalp? And is leaving conditioner in your hair bad???

I came across a site that sez u gotsta rinse out the conditioner thoroughly in cool water-in fact, it sez when u put the conditioner on u should try to keep it off your scalp. Try this address:

I use a leave-in conditioner, and I'm not having any problems... but I'm not sure whether "normal" conditioner should be left in all day.

Try this: Shampoo and Rinse (duh), put in the cond., warsh the rest of ye, comb out the knots then rinse with a VERY slow stream of light shower presure.
