bang length for shoulder length?

Hey Guys:
I have a question about growing shoulder length hair. I've seen alot of guys with shoulder length hair and they only let their bangs go to their chin is this the right way to grow? Thanks in advance.

The back of your hair and the sides are closer to your shoulders than your bangs, so these dude that your seeing havent cut there bangs to that lenght, thats just the way they grew in, and they might not be done growing. They may still even consider themselves in the akward stage.
