Shampooing and Wax

I'm facing a sort of dilemma here. I'm in the nasty and dreadful awkward stage (can put my bangs in my mouth) and I use wax to help me get by. Now, the problem is that I have dry hair and shampooing everyday will make my hair even drier (I hope I got that information right). Since I use wax everyday, I shampoo everyday. What I need from all you kind gentlemen is to tell me if I should continue to shampoo everyday or leave the wax in my hair overnight and shampoo every other day?

this isn't really an answer to your question... I have the same length as you, and I recently noticed that I can actually wear my hair as it is, without any gel, and it doesn't look too bad. I always used gel before, but now when I've stopped, I wash about every third day.
And I'm just beginning to be able to put my bangs behind my ears (they constantly fall out), so I guess in another month or two they should stay there a little longer.

Try shampooing over the wax, you might wanna use less shampoo if you do this, and see if theres still enough hold and stuff to do what you want. Then the next day, add more in the shower and shampoo it again, until you find the right amounts. Basically, everytime you shower, wax and then shampoo. If you get rid of to much, use more wax next time, and if its greasy and over waxed, just wash it without adding more. With the beeswax stuff i use, theres plenty of stylin' power left after washing, you just gotta get the right amount of wax and shampoo. Also, have you tried baby shampoo? It contains no soap and no alcohol. It really softens up my dry frizzy hair.
