Hi there
For those who remember my message on June the 27th I would like to inform you about what finally happened with boss that was putting a lot of pressure to cut my hairs.
Well, first let me tell you that this whole thing spoiled my vacation because I couldn't take that out of my mine. I was ask to come back from my month of vacation with my hairs cut short.
I gave that a lot of thinking and I have consulted many people about that - even the "canadian person rights" and I took the decision of not cutting them short. In counter part I have cut about 4 inches out of them (they are now slitly below the height of my breast) to bring a compromise and called him for a private meeting before the general meeting in which he was expecting me to arrive "clean-cut". I told him that this was as far as I was willing to go and that I want to keep them long despite his desire.
I told him also that I want to keep on working here and still bring thet best I can to my job. I also explain him that this is part of my personality and that it is very important to me and my self image. I told him that I didn't want to oppose him for the fun of doing so and that I was dealing with people around me that don't care about my hair lenght.
Anyway, I took all my time to explain him all that and more while he was on his side taking the time to express the reasons for him to want me to cut them. We didn't agreed of course but all that was done on a calm moud and, at the end, I ask him if we could conclude the meeting with a shake hands which he did when I presented my hand.
So, as you can see, the debate isn't really close to his satisfaction but I gain to keep my hair long.
On the counter part I know that I will be check more now and I am better not to "goof" in my job because this would give him reason to get rid of this disturbing employe that I must be for him because I didn't comply to his request.
We had an other meeting since and so far the climate is good. I am crossing my fingers in order that this will be forget and that we can keep on doing the job that we have to do.
So this is where I am for now and I wanted to keep you informe - especially those of you that have so kindly help me and encourage me when I cam out with that a month and a half ago.
Let me tell you also that I am appreciating my long hairs more than ever now.
Take care
Yours
Jean

P.S.: My hairs were needing a trim anyway as I never did any since the 3 years that it take to make them reach 33 inches long from the front line down in the back. They are now looking pretty neat being almost all the same length.
