This site is as fast than dripping mollases in the summer!
And that is with a 28K modem line.
PS: BTW, I cancelled my plans for the weekend because I thought, gosh darn it, what better way to spend it than browsing through this site!

I think you the The Long Hair Site (www.tlhs.org) -- was there a typo here? You find the two girls and one guy with the 57-inch hair in the "Week's Lady" page--see the menu bar at left.

Click "Week's Lady."
Actually, it says that the hair of each of the two
women measures around 61 inches, and that it took
them each about 13 years to grow their hair to that
length. 61 divided by 13 gives about 4.7 inches of
hair growth per year. This falls within the conventional
figure of 0.5 inch per month or 6 inches per year.

One point to note though is that hair growth varies according to length. If your hair is short, due to less stress and breakage, the growth rate could be much faster than when it's say, waist length.
Lots of people see tremendous growth rate before midback length but then experience an obvious slow down, with intermittent rest periods after waist length.
That means these ladies and the man could have tremendous growth rate when their hair is short and it slows down considerably when it becomes longer. Averaging in such a manner could thus be misleading.

Jin--
Thanks very much for your comments. Since my hair
is now growing "south" of mid-back length, I will
pay careful attention to the possibility that you
mentioned.

The key to ultra long hair is TLC (Tender Loving Care). If you can make the extra effort to take good care of your hair when it reaches longer lengths, I believe there could be less possibility of hair growth slowing down. Of course, this does not take into account the fact of terminal length, which you could do absolutely nothing about :)
Good luck to your hair growth and do we have the honour to see some of your pics?
Cheers,
jin
