How to make my hair straight?

Hi,
I just want to know if there is a way to make your hair straight (I've got wavy hair and it's not very long: it's Tom- cruise like).
thank you a lot.

yes there is! i have been using a flat iron with GREAT success...mine is VERY curly...i flat iron one day and it stays that way for days! loving it!
you can also chemically straighten your hair...but WARNING...it can dry your hair a lot...and once it starts growing again, then the roots are wavy while the ends are straight...kind of a scary look.
some would say that using a flat iron will dry your hair out as well...but i have not noticed that on mine at all...as a matter of fact, when i use a flat iron, my hair is AMAZINGLY soft afterwards.
there *are* different kinds of flat irons too...mine has 10 different heat settings...just get one that is hot enough to really straighten it out, but don't leave the flat iron on your hair or you *will* dry it out...the secret is to keep it moving through your hair.
good luck.

joey,
i am using a flat iron called "professional hot tools" that's it. no other name listed...it has 10 heat settings...i paid about $40 for it...bought it at one of those beauty supply stores like "beauty world" or "trade secret" or something like that...i had a flat iron before this one, it did little good. my stylist tried this one on me one time, and i was hooked.
good luck,
mjtoo
