Hair growth herb

Have someone heard of the hair growth herb (called probably "deprochicat" root) somebody wrote about on a message board? It makes hair grow 3 inches a month and nails grow fast, also.
I used to have long hair, which I cut off recently. Now I regret my decision and don't want to lose another 3 years to get it long again. :(
Please, help!

Sorry, Astral, but there is nothing that will make hair grow at this rate. Trust me, if such a thing existed 97.4% of us would be using it!

I DID read it the first time it was posted here, dear. I also read the follow-ups that pointed out that the original sender of the message was talking crap. Sadly, even this board is not immune from such dumb postings.

Do you think that lots of beta carotene may help here? It can't do any damage, because it's not a vitamin A itself yet.

Beta Carotene..Isn't that a major constituent of carrots and other
orange fruits and vegetables. Isn't it also a significant component
of Vitamin A, and isn't Vit. A in large quantities toxic?

i think saul answered your question- there is nothing that will increase your rate of growth- so are you going to ask the question over and over until someone tells you what you want to hear? so you cut your hair. live with it and live with the FACT that you will get it back at about ½ per month just like the rest of us. if you dont like that then maybe you'll think twice before cutting it again.

look-- most of us would like to increase our hair growth rate but there isn't anything that's going to make an appreciable difference. wanting to find something isn't bad. if you want to be parted with too much money then by all means, buy vitamins. i promise you that the biggest difference you'll see is in your inability to save money. period.
eat a balanced diet, trim split ends, avoid coloring and perms, and generally take care of your hair and you'll get the most out of what your body can produce on its own.
