The day after shampooing.....

The day after I shampoo my hair is always horrible, my hair will stick out everywhere and is so huge looking. I try using a good amount of conditioner afterwards then in the morning use lots of leave-in conditioner (infusium) but it still looks pretty bad, I've been thinking of using that Frizz Ease stuff, anybody tried that? My only other option is a hat which is fine during summer but when I'm in school I have to take it off so any tips?

After your hair dries, take a small amount of vegetable oil, such as Canola oil, and distribute it on your hands. Then rub your hands through your hair to distribute the oil. A little goes a long way. This has kept my hair from being as dry and frizzy, and is a lot cheaper than any of the "frizz" products, which don't seem to work as well for me. I add a little more oil after I rinse and dry the hair on days between shampooings. Also, rinse daily if needed, but only use the shampoo/conditioner about once a week. After experimenting, you will be able to find the right amount of oil to use to keep it a little tamer, without it looking too greasy.

i find it best to just wash with water in the days between shampoo. takes out the greasy feel, yet when dry it feels like its been conditioned. tends to make combing easier too.
