Now that I've moved to Dallas, I'm finally back online! Thank God for free AOL CDs... lol. Well, enough about that; now about hair!

A few days ago, I finally got to measure my bangs, and I found... that most of them have reached 8 inches! The rest are around 7 1/2 inches. I'm going to even them out once they get long; I don't want to get rid of my 8 inch bangs. ~_~ Besides, my bangs are usually tucked behind my ears (they actually stay now! =D), so no one notices the unevenness. I don't know how long the back hair is; it's well past collar length, though. But I'm sure it's not as long as my bangs. I've gotten into this habit of casually gathering my hair at the back into a little pony tail, just for the hell of it. Of course, I don't tie it in place like that; just gather it and then let it fall back down. Hehe... Also, September marks 6 months of growth; or 6 months since I've had a haircut. Same thing, I guess. I didn't actually decide to let it grow long until April, so in a sense this was the 5 month mark; but mostly 6. Well, anyway... lol. My bangs reach that little crevice in the face that's halfway between the mouth and chin, when pulled down. By November 30 (the Blind Guardian/Symphony X show in Dallas!!), I expect that the bangs will be to the chin, or very near it. Certainly by December 18, when The Two Towers hits the theaters. Well, I'm done rambling for now; just glad to be back, and glad to be back online. =D See everyone around the board...

If you truly want long bangs, then DO NOT EVEN THEM OUT!!!! Leave them alone!

Glad to hear your back, friend. From the way you described things, our hair, bangs length anyway, is the same length. My bangs fall in the middle between the lower lip and the bottom chin when pulled down like you said your does. I have one alteration that you don't have though; I got an undercut and I love it. Feels a lot better and I still have all the bangs. The sides still fall over the ears about the same as before. The back still falls below collar length also. Below are some pics to illistrate my undercut.

This is my hair in a ponytail to show where my undercut line is. It starts top temple and angles down to middle back of my head. I had them short trim the lower half instead of buzzing it:

  My hair was eyebrow length to about a half-inch above the eyebrows. ^_^ I had a trim back in May because my mother insisted that it needed to be 'styled' in some way. It didn't work; just slowed things down. But I've more than regained the length that was lost. =D Keep it growing!

My bangs are about an inch past my chin, yay :o
