you a peacenik ?...

Are people going to judge you by the LENGTH of your hair?
If there's war do you think people will think you are
automatically some kind of anti-war protester?
Don't think people should label us as for or against
something only based on the way we LOOK!
sometimes I see a group of old guys talking and looking
at me wondering if I'm some kind of peace & flowers kinda guy...
frustrated...

I was one of those protesting the Viet Nam war, there were
many long hairs who served in Viet Nam, grew their hair long,
and then protested the war after serving in Viet Nam for years.
And yes there were actually some long hairs who supported the
war.

They may, but, I don't think I would let it bother ya. I don't. Of course, along with my ponytail, I also wear a kilt, so most people don't bother me.

:-) Dunno 'bout that, but, I sure as heck, am quite comfortable. And, it sure looks nicer than what I used to wear... Which was usually a pair of jeans or denim shorts. Heck, most people tell me that they feel underdressed when they see me, even though I'm just wearing my kilt casually.

War and the death toll it creates should always be a LAST resort.
Unfortunately, to our current president it seems to be an ONLY resort!

It was slightly breezy this morning in England, blue skies as far as the eye could see with a few grey patches. I was meeting some friends for lunch in the High Street, which was a 10 minute skate away. I skated down, met them, we dropped into the Subway for lunch... then it started.
A blizzard.
You can't skate when it's wet.
I had no shoes.
So there I was, walking around the street with my friends in my socks, until I decided to wait at the bus stop to go home. My toes, I tell you, it was quite exquisite pain. The looks I got at the bus stop...
Still, they didn't quite surpass the looks I got when I left the bus without my socks (I'd removed them by that point). So picture seeing a 19 year old longhaired guy carrying skates, barefootedly scampering through the rapidly settling snow. I don't think I'd ever seen every single person on the bus crane their heads back to look at someone with a bewildered expression.
I love British weather :)
The MAN wirh NO SHOES...

What was the source of their bewilderment, you not wearing socks or your long hair?
I kind of reckon it was the former rather than the latter which aroused their curiosity.

Long hair certainly was a symbol of opposition to the Vietnam War back in the 60's but I don't see many longhairs in photos of anti-war demonstrations these days.
Anyway, are you for or against war, irrespective of whether you have long hair or not?
As for me, I oppose the war, period.
